Being asked to document a family is always such a privilege but being asked to document something as momentous as a christening and first birthday party is super cool! I really felt quite honoured that Kathryn and David trusted me to document the magic of this extremely special day for them.
When I arrived at the village hall I was welcomed with warmth and smiling faces, beautiful shades of blue and Peter Rabbit ~ I just knew it was going to be a fantastic day. The christening took place at Romsey Abbey and wow, is it majestic! It has the most exquisite windows which allows the light to flood in and illuminate the font beautifully ~ like God is shining down on the families as their little ones are christened. The pews were filled with friends and family who all came to bear witness to little George being christened.
After the christening we headed off to the all important birthday party (but not before swinging past the house to collect George's very first birthday cake which was beautifully handcrafted by mum.) The hall had been transformed into a baby sensory wonderland with balls and tunnels and toys and soft mats for all of the kids to have a fun old time. The parents also got in on the action when the bubbles, disco lights and giant balls came out!
It was was a wonderfully special day and I am so glad that I was there to document it all for David, Kathryn and George xx
